Join PP Travel's fully guided tour for Anzac Day at Gallipoli. Our 4-day Anzac tour offers a choice of three levels of accommodation in the heart of Istanbul - Sultanahmet.

* Hostel - 6 to 8 bedded rooms, at our base at Cheers. Turkish hostel of the year for the 5th year!

After spending the first night in Istanbul, let us take you on our fully guided tour to Anzac Cove. Our tour departs Istanbul early on the 24th of April heading directly to the Gallipoli Peninsula for a thorough background and insight into the 1915 campaign with visits all the major sites. Your experienced PP Travel guide will have you thoroughly prepared for the evening at Anzac Cove and the dawn service the 25th of April. After the Dawn Service, we offer walking tours of the Anzac Cove sites, then head to either the Australian or New Zealand commemorative service before our return to Istanbul, for a much needed rest and shower.
You do not have to check out of your accommodation when we head to Anzac Cove as we have booked for all 3 nights, meaning you can leave anything you do not require overnight at Gallipoli in your room while you attend the Anzac Pilgrimage.

The PP Total Gallipoli Peninsula tour experience: Don't be simply dropped off and left to sit for hours at Anzac Cove, like many other operators do. We plan to tour the entire Gallipoli Peninsula, including Cape Helles (British landing and memorial), the massive Turkish memorial, after touring the heights and front lines of the Anzac area - we cover all the major sites. We also have a welcome meeting at Cheers the night before the tour. Day 1 - Wednesday 23 April 2025
Check In Istanbul and Welcome Meeting
Check In at your leisure throughout the day. Join our welcome meeting at Cheers Hostel early in the evening. Collect your stylish souvenir Anzac hoodie, join our BBQ, let our crew answer any questions, and stay on for the free Turkish belly dancing show.

Day 2 - Thursday 24 April 2025
Depart for Gallipoli
After breakfast, meet the PP crew t Cheers Hostel by 7.00am, before we walk to our coaches for a 7:30am departure from Sirkeci Park.
After loading, our coaches will depart from besides Sirkeci Park for the drive to Gallipoli. On the journey to the Peninsula you will learn of the fate of over 10,000 Australians and New Zealanders who fought there in 1915. You will be given a though background to the battle by both our PP Travel tour leaders along with our local Turkish expert guides.

After lunch at the town of Eceabat, on the shores of the Dardanelles, we plan to tour the entire Gallipoli Peninsula, taking in the major sites in the Anzac front line, such as Lone Pine, Quinn's Post, Chunuk Bair and The Nek. We then head to the massive Turkish memorial at the mouth of the Dardanelles and the British landings at Cape Helles, at the very point of the peninsula. With our experienced crew, we aim to give you a thorough knowledge of this ill-fated campaign.

We return to Eceabat for dinner before heading to the Anzac Cove area late evening to enter the commemorate site. You then have plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere and witness first hand the Anzac spirit and comradery as you meet many other Aussies and Kiwi's who are also here on the same overnight pilgrimage on the grass, under the stars within the Commemorative Zone. You will want to bring sleeping bag and warm clothes as it can get very cold in the early hours.

The night of 24 April is spent on the grass, under the stars with every other person who is attending for Anzac Day. Also, our tour of the Gallipoli Peninsula is subject to unexpected and random road closures by the Turkish authorities on the day.

Day 3 - Friday 25 April 2025
Gallipoli - Memorial Service - Return to Istanbul
This special day starts with the Dawn Service at the Anzac Commemorative area at 5.30am. After the service we offer walking tours of the Anzac Cove sites, then head to either the Australian service at Lone Pine (10.00am) or New Zealand commemorative service at Chunuk Bair (1130am). Our coaches depart Chunuk Bair after the completion of the NZ service and drive back to Istanbul during the afternoon. Overnight at your accommodation.

Day 4 - Saturday 26 April 2025
Istanbul Hotel Departure
Time to say good bye and continue with your travels. Note extra nights before and after the tour can be booked on request.
