PP Travel Privacy Policy

General Statement
PP Travel understands and respects the importance of your privacy at all times. In this privacy policy we make very clear the processes and procedures we have in place in regards to the collecting, usage and storage of your private data. PP Travel strictly adheres to the privacy sector provisions for data protection. In the UK, that primarily means compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations of 2003.

What personal information do we collect and how do we collect it?
PP Travel only gathers information about individuals or groups that is absolutely necessary for the operation, organisation and administration of our services. Differing types of information may be collected in respect of what the circumstances of collection are, or in regards to the type of service you request from us.

PP Travel may collect personal information from you:

  • When you register to receive our newsletter
  • When you purchase any product or service through our website, third party websites or via phone
  • When you make an enquiry regarding any of our services
  • When you participate in our competitions, surveys, questionnaires or promotions
The personal information collected from you when you interact with PP Travel via either web, face to face or phone may include (but is not limited to) your name, address, e-mail address, credit/debit card number and expiry date, billing address, telephone number/s, flight or other travel details, dietary requirements if any and existing diagnosed medical conditions. PP Travel is required by law to gain your consent to the collection of personal information and it is assumed consent is given, unless you advise us otherwise.

Please note there may also be instances when we collect information about you from a third party such as in the instance when people are booking travel on your behalf.

N.B - Links and Third Party cookies (tracking devices)
PP Travel does carry out advertising and sales relating to third parties through links on our website. This promotion is administered directly by those third parties in question and they may place cookies, action tags or other tracking devices on your hard drive to assess the effectiveness of their advertising or marketing initiatives. They may also collect personal information about you that you may have provided to them directly. This information will then become covered by the third parties own privacy policies and is not covered in PP Travels privacy policy. We would recommend that you take a look at these which in most cases will be found on that company's website.

Accuracy of Your Personal Information
When we collect and make use of your personal information we ensure all reasonable measures are taken to ensure the information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. We will correct any incorrect personal information as soon as any errors become known to us. If at any time should the individual to whom the information relates, establish that it is not accurate, complete or up-to-date we will endeavour to correct this as soon as possible also.

Security of Your Personal Information
PP Travel will take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information that has been supplied to us by you. This includes stern measures against unauthorised access, modification, misuse or disclosure. We also ensure that any personal information no longer required is destroyed permanently by secure means such as shredding, pulping, hard disk destruction or disintegration. You personal information is stored on servers that is NOT publically accessible and this information is only accessed by PP Travel as and when required. There are NO credit/debit card details stored on our database or server when you book or buy products on our site. PP travel will never pass on your personal information to third parties for cross promotion or direct marketing purposes.

Who May your Personal Information be Disclosed to?
We will only ever disclose some or all of your data for the purposes of fulfilling you're booking requests with us. E.g. to a hotel in the form of a rooming list. This is only ever facilitated when it is required by any applicable local or international law or regulation. We may also disclose your data to reputable third parties and/or professional advisors or suppliers who are also obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the information. E.g. a coach hire company for a passenger listing

Direct Marketing By PP Travel
PP Travel does conduct its own direct marketing through non-aggressive marketing initiatives such as our newsletter or competitions. We may also, at times, send you information and offers that we feel may be well received by you, however, if you no longer wish to receive any direct marketing material please contact info@pptravel.com at any time and you will be removed from our list.

PP Travel is fully compliant with all anti-spam regulations both in the UK and internationally and, as also outlined in the above 'security' paragraph; we do not share, rent, or sell any information to third parties.

Access to Your Personal Information or Complaints about an Alleged Breach of Your Privacy
At anytime you may request a copy or copies of any personal information we may have about you on file. This request must be made in writing via email to info@pptravel.com

Should we receive any complaints in regards to possible breaches of your privacy please be assured, they will be dealt with swiftly and professionally. Again, all complaints must come to PP Travel in writing at the above address.

Changes to our Privacy Policy
PP Travel may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time and reserve the right to notify you of any material changes by displaying the newly revised Privacy Policy on our website. Effective July 16th 2009
