Anzac Day Gallipoli FAQ's

Is there any alternative to sleeping out at Anzac Cove?

Unless you are a Prime Minister or a member of the Royal Family, the answer is a clear NO. The commemorative area at Anzac Cove does not open to the public until 1030pm on the night of April 24 and is closed off for entry at 3.00am on April 25. Therefore you would need to travel through the night to get to Anzac Cove before it is closed and the wait under the stars until the Dawn Service begins is unavoidable.

However, don't worry, it really is part of the amazing Anzac experience and helps makes this unique opportunity even more special. After having dinner in Eceabat on the evening of April 24, we make the short journey over to the Anzac area at 10.00pm. All coaches and passengers must register at a holding place about 3km from the entrance to Anzac Cove. We normally have all our passengers through the security entrance of the commemorative area by midnight.
There are plenty of places to stretch out on the lawn in this area as well as temporary seating. There's entertainment, music, singing and lectures from 1.30am until the beginning of the service at 5.30am. There is also plenty of toilets along with local food trucks within this area.

While it can be quite cold, we ensure all our passengers are well prepared and informed for this special night and morning.
