Munich Oktoberfest 2010 General Information Release
When will Oktoberfest 2010 take place?
Saturday September 18th of 2010 is the date of this years Oktoberfest openning. At noon, in the Schottenhamel beer tent, the Lord Mayor of Munich will have the privellige of tapping the first ber keg in the official opening ceremony. Once that keg has been tapped, all visitors to the Oktoberfest will then be permitted to quench their thirst. On this day it definitely pays to arrive early and it's not uncommon for people to arrive to get a good seat at 7am (although it's a long wait to be served till after noon). The Oktoberfest Festival of 2010 lasts until Sunday October 3rd 2010.
What are the openning hours?
Beer Serving Hours
Weekdays: 10am - 10:30pm
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays: 9am - 10:30pm
Daily Tent Closing Time: 11:30pm, with last beer serving at around 10.15pm
The "Kafer Wiesn-Schanke" and the "Weinzelt" are open until 1am. Last call for alcohol: 12:15am

Monday - Thursday: 10am - 11:30pm
Friday: 10am - 12am (midnight)
Saturday: 9am - 12am
