Oktoberfest 2009 Just Over 100 Days To Go
As I checked one of the most informative sites on the web this week (www.shanebaisden.com) I realised that the Oktoberfest was now just over 100 days away from openning for the 176th time.
At this stage of proceedings flights into and out of Munich for the Oktoberfest are becoming more expensive by the day, especially for weekend dates.
Companies that fly direct from London to Munich during the Oktoberfest are www.ba.com, www.easyjet.com, www.lufthansa.com, and now, on a new route, www.aerlingus.com
All these airlines will fly into Franz Josef Strauss Munich (MUC) airport which is the main airport for Munich. It is an easy commute into the city via a very efficient train system located under the airport proper much like you'll find from Heathrow in London. The Munich airports website can be found in English at the following link www.munich-airport.de/en and has full public transport information available on the site.
PP Travel still has a number of flights available to and from Munich all of which depart London on a Friday and return on a monday with Aer Lingus. Our camping and flight options start at just GBP249 per person which is the best value you will find for flight and accommodation packages to the Oktoberfest. Check out the PP Travel website for our great value Oktoberfest Flight Options and also for all our great value Oktoberfest Tour Options.
Happy travels, stay safe, and we hope to see many of you in Munich for Oktoberfest 2009 in September/October!!
