Anzac Day - 4 Day Hostel Tour

Join PP's fully guided hostel tour to Anzac Cove. Our 4 day Anzac tour uses the fabulous Cheers Hostel in the heart of Istanbul - Sultanahmet and close the amazing Grand Bazaar. Cheers is the number 1 rated hostel in Istanbul!

After spending the first night in Istanbul, let us take you on our fully guided tour to Anzac Cove. Receive a thorough background and insight into the 1915 campaign and visit all the major sites. Spend the evening at Anzac Cove and be a part of the unforgetable dawn service on the 25th. After attending the Australian and New Zealand commerorative services, we return to our Istanbul hostel. Join our Istanbul tour on the morning of the 26th. You do not have to check out on the night of the 24th, when we head to Anzac Cove: PP has booked for all 3 nights, meaning you can leave your gear in your room while you attend the Anzac Pilgrimage.

Extra nights at Cheers hostel can be added on either before or after the tour: cost £25 per night.

PP is 100% Aussie and Kiwi Owned and has been since 1991, experience counts!

Gallipoli Peninsula tour experience with PP: We don't just drop you off and leave you to queue for hours at Anzac Cove, unlike other companies - PP show you the entire peninsula, including Cape Helles (British landing and memorial) and the massive Turkish memorial, and of course, Lone Pine, Chunuk Bair and all other major sites.

Cheers Hostel (Cheers Hostel on Google Maps)
Cheers is one of Istanbul's newer hostels and quickly gained a reputation as the city's funkiest and friendliest hostel which lead it to being Trip Advisor's number 1 rated Istanbul hostel. Its position is fabulous, being almost right besides the city's two grand land marks - the Aya Sophia and Blue Mosque. The view from its roof top bar is truly fabulous. This boutique hostel has 5, 6, 8 and 10-bedded dorms with character (amazing for a hostel). Dorms have shared facilities. Across the street in a separate building is their well appointed private hotel (hostel plus tour) rooms which include ensuite facilities. Turkish breakfast buffet is served daily and it also has free internet.

Day 1 - Monday 23 April 2018
Check In Istanbul and Welcome Meeting
Check In at your leisure throughout the day. Free airport transfer to your accommodation. We will have a welcome meeting tonight at the hotel at 6.30pm which is essential and runs for about half an hour. If you're at the hostel early today, why not check in and then head to the Grand Bazaar?

Day 2 - Tuesday 24 April 2018
Depart for Gallipoli
Enjoy breakfast before we depart Cheers Hostel at 9am. On the drive to the Gallipoli Peninsula you will learn of the fate of over 10,000 Australians and New Zealanders. We visit the memorial sites at Anzac Cove, Shrapnel Valley, Conkbay Hill, Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair as well as other cemeteries as time and conditions permit.

Our tour aims to show the entire Gallipoli Peninsula, including the British landings at Cape Helles, helping you obtain a thorough knowledge of this ill-fated campaign. You then have the opportunity to secure your spot for the dawn service as we drop you at Anzac Cove around sunset giving you plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere and witness first hand the ANZAC spirit and comraderie as you meet thousands of other Aussies and Kiwi's who are also here on the same pilgrimage. You will want to bring sleeping bag and warm clothes as it gets very cold in the early hours.

Note: Our tour of Gallipoli is subject to road closures by the Turkish authorities.

Day 3 - Wednesday 25 April 2018
Gallipoli - Memorial Service - Return to Istanbul
This special day starts very early for the dawn service. It is a good idea to bring sleeping bag and warm clothes, as it can get very cold in the early hours. After the Dawn Service you are free to attend the Australian Memorial Service at Lone Pine and the New Zealand Memorial Service at Chunuk Bair. We leave the Anzac area after these services are completed - probably late afternoon - and drive back to Istanbul arriving late evening.

Day 4 - Thursday 26 April 2018
Istanbul hotel Departure
After breakfast we take you on a guided tour of Istanbul to introduce you to some of the many special sights the city has to offer. Included in the tour are the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque and underground Cistern. The afternoon will be free time so why not try a Turkish Bath. If you are staying on we can also arrange for you to go on the Bosporus cruise - not an overpriced "optional" offered by many others - those who want to join in will be escorted by the PP crew to the very economical but excellent public cruise.

Flights to Istanbul
The best site we believe to book your own flights is Opodo. It was created by the major European airlines and offers the cheapest options with them all.
