European Airport Closures - Anzac Day Tours
As at 20th April 2010 1000 BST (0900 GMT)
Further to previous updates our Anzac Day tours this weekend are still going ahead as planned.
As many of you are aware flight restrictions have been lifted in much of the UK airspace and airlines are trying hard to get their schedules back on track.
It is still very important that if your travel plans for you arrival to Istanbul for the start of your tour have change significantly you MUST advise us either via email or by phone (+44 (0)20 7930 9999) of your arrival details. In turn we will be able to advise you of any changes in your hotel, tour departure, etc.
At PP Travel we look forward to seeing as many people as possible at Gallipoli.

Previous Updates
As at 20th April 2010 1330 BST (1230 GMT)
Further to previous updates our Anzac Day tours this weekend are still going ahead as planned.
As I am sure you are aware, the situation with flights is currently unclear, with the UK's air traffic control authority Nats stating it is unlikely that the main airports in London will reopen today (Tuesday).
We would again like to reassure you that if you do get to Istanbul, we, along with our Turkish partners, will do everything within reason to get you to the dawn service this Sunday morning.
All our 2, 4 and 5-day tour coaches are due to depart at 6.30am from Istanbul this Saturday to head to the Gallipoli Peninsula. Once there, you will be given a tour of the area before being dropped off at Anzac Cove to spend the night under the stars before the dawn service Sunday morning.
While it is still "early days" we are looking at running later departures from Istanbul to Gallipoli, if necessary, on Saturday so to give anyone delayed right up to the last moment to still have the opportunity to be apart of the pilgrimage at Anzac Cove at dawn on 25 April. At this stage it is envisaged that the latest any of our coaches can leave central Istanbul is 1900 on the 24th. This would mean landing at Ataturk airport no later than 5:30pm and Gocken airport at around 4pm to make the departure. Obviously nothing is confirmed yet but rest assured we will do what we can in a what is a difficult and certainly frustrating situation for many passengers.
Like everyone involved, we are monitoring the situation very closely and will continue to be in touch and will also continue to post information up on our website
As at 19th April 2010 1812 BST (1712 GMT)
Despite travel chaos caused by the Icelandic volcano, all our Anzac Day tours to Gallipoli are going ahead as scheduled.
We are fully aware of some of the potential problems facing those trying to get to Turkey and are monitoring the situation constantly with both the UK Air Navigation Services authorities and with our partners in Istanbul. Being a land-based package, our operations in Turkey are not directly affected by the air shut-down and we will be proceeding as normal with our tours to Gallipoli this upcoming weekend.
Already our Turkish partners have been doing their best to accommodate those delayed on our longer 9 day tour and together we will continue to do what we can if delays continue later in the week, although there is obviously nothing we can do with individual airline bookings or for those who simply cannot make it to Turkey.
If there were to be any changes, we will contact all passengers individually. In the meantime we can only urge those effected to also monitor the flight situation, especially with your airline and do your best, if needs be, to have any cancelled flights rescheduled.
If you have any queries you can contact us via email and we will endeavour to respond as soon as practical. If you have any confirmed changes to your arrival date in Istanbul, then please let us know.
